As I had previously mentioned in an earlier post, we love going on vacation to the Smoky Mountains. We usually visit the same places most of the time, but we also like to try different things too. Whether it’s a new trail to hike or a new restaurant to try.
But some things aren’t meant to be changed.
Several years ago, I stumbled across a pottery shop that I simply fell in love with.
Alewine Pottery has been in business for over 30 years. Located at 623 Glades Road in the Arts and Crafts community , this shop offers so many different pieces and variety of pottery to chose from!
From vases to dinnerware and everything in between!
When we were there last fall, we stopped by to see what new items they had since the last time we were there. And that’s when I saw it. The most beautiful dinnerware I had ever seen! The dinnerware I had forever been searching for and never found. Until now.
It’s called Classic White. A slight off white speckled with a fleck of brown. They also had matching serving bowls, so I purchased 2 of those and before leaving the store, I placed an order for 6 place settings of the dinnerware.
Since it is made to order, I had to wait a few months before it was ready to pick up, but it was well worth the wait! Plus the fact that I had another reason to head back to Tennessee!
But if you ever have the opportunity to go to Gatlinburg, be sure to check this place out. It is well worth you time if you love beautiful hand crafted pottery.
